Basic information for anyone planning a visit the Monument for Life.

If you are in the area, you can still stop and see the rescue site. Remember, it gets dark early now, so make sure it is before 5pm! Sneak a peak at the new visitor"s center that is being built! It is so exciting to see it go up, right before our eyes!!

The memorial site park is open daily from dawn to dusk. Call ahead for hours for the Visitor's and Educational Center. 814 445 4876

Best times to visit and our hours of operation

From October through March, the weather can be the limiting factor for the times that the Visitor's Center is open. The building that is being used is heated to only 45 degrees, but it will get you out of the wind. Please call ahead, and we will open the building if you are coming. Just wear warm clothing. We are game if you are!
